WOL Presence at the Upcoming Tuskegee Airmen Convention 17-19 July in Philadephia

The Tuskegee Airmen Inc. Convention scheduled 17-19 July at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown provides a great opportunity for building a working relationship between our Way of Life Alumni Group and Tuskegee Airmen Inc.. The TAI convention also provides us a chance to cultivate new members. WOL President Richard Hall, Vice President Tanika Gonzales, Membership Chair James McReynolds, and Air Force Pilot Development Committee Chair Capt Keny "Deacon" Ruffin will attend the convention.

2008 Pathfinder Seminar 6 May @ USAFA

A message from Ray Robinson, USAFA '91

The Spring Pathfinder Seminar will be conducted on Tues, 6 May from 1700-1900 in Arnold Hall - North Ballroom. This timeframe will afford us maximum exposure to the cadets. With that in mind, we will be serving pizza and beverages for all participants.
Since this seminar will be held mid-week, we will lean heavily on local officer/grad participation. I realize some out-of-town officers/grads will not be able to participate.

Respectfully,
Raymond Robinson, USAFA '91

WOL Event at Air & Space Museum a Fantastic Success

The Air and Space Museum hosts a "Family Day" event in February - Black History Month each year and WOL is has become a regular. On 9 Feb 08 Way of Life Alumni AF Academy grads manned an information table and spoke with museum visitors about the "Academy Experience". WOL members brought a wealth of knowledege and experience to the event. Visitors, especially students and parents interested in the Air Force Academy, spent lots of time with our grads talking about everything from the Academy to life on active duty to transitioning to the civilian workforce.

WOL will host a Super Reunion of all Black Service Academy Graduates

WOL will lead in planning a "SUPER REUNION" of AF, Navy, West Point, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academy graduates. Initial plans are for Feb 2010 in Miami, FL or possibly make the "SUPER REUNION" in conjunction with a Tuskegee Airmen, Organization of Black Airline Pilot type convention. This is a first ever such reunion and sure to be "INCREDIBLE."
