AFPD Committee: FIGHTERS
This page contains information specific to the A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-15C Eagle, F-15E Strike Eagle and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The information on this page is designed to help junior pilots develop in skill and knowledge about their respective aircraft as well as provide prospective pilots knowledge to make an informed choice of what aircraft to fly. Specifically, we ask that if you have flown an aircraft on this page please download, complete, and upload the brief “Airframe Lessons Learned” file and/or other instructive materials (e.g., gouge, study guides, etc.). As we all know and have experienced, there are very particular nuisances associated with each airframe and its culture – it is the responsibility of veteran pilots to mentor junior pilots, helping them to assimilate and succeed faster than we did. If you have any other suggestions or comments about this page, please do not hesitate to post them. Thank you.

F-15C EAGLE
(Click here to go the F-15C Development Team at AFPC)
The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable, tactical fighter designed to permit the Air Force to gain and maintain air supremacy over the battlefield.
The Eagle's air superiority is achieved through a mixture of unprecedented maneuverability and acceleration, range, weapons and avionics. It can penetrate enemy defense and outperform and outfight any current enemy aircraft. The F-15 has electronic systems and weaponry to detect, acquire, track and attack enemy aircraft while operating in friendly or enemy-controlled airspace. The weapons and flight control systems are designed so one person can safely and effectively perform air-to-air combat.
