Body:

Each year the Air and Space Museum hosts a "Family Day" event in February - Black History Month. Way of Life Alumni AF Academy grads will man an informational table and speak with museum visitors about the :Academy Experience. Tuskegee Airmen Inc members are scheduled special Family Day guests (original Tuskegee Airmen are featured speakers for a Q&A session). It will be a fun event and WOL participation last year put our Way of Life Alumni Group on the list of potential invitees for Air and Space Museum events. You do not have to spend the entire day! Some grads spent a couple of hours last year. We just ensured we had at least 5-6 grads throughout the event.

WOL will host a Super Reunion of all Black Service Academy Graduates in Feb 2009

WOL will lead in planning a "SUPER REUNION" of AF, Navy, West Point, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academy graduates. Initial plans are for Feb 2009 in Miami, FL. This is a first ever such reunion and sure to be "INCREDIBLE."

Join the team and make history! We need grads willing to step away from the usual convention routine. If you are interested and want more information keep watch for a Jan 2008 conference call. WOL will post a call in number on this cite and blast email to all members.

This is a wonderful reason to connect with old buddies. Start planning to make this reunion. Let's show the others a real LONG BLUE LINE!

I know those of you who saw the new website were excited about the new look... but it's going to take a little longer than expected to port over all of the posts. In the interest of progress, I've decided to keep this one alive until that is complete. Get a sneak peak of the new look and feel by clicking here.

WOL Air Force Pilot Development Committee

Welcome to the WOL Air Force Pilot Development Committee website. The AFPD committee serves as WOL’s focal point for issues relating to and development as an Air Force pilot. We invite you to join the committee as we have “open membership” – meaning that you don’t need to be an USAF Academy graduate, on active duty, or even a pilot for that matter to be on the committee. If you are interested in taking an active part in promoting minority pilot issues, we ask you to join this committee. The success of this committee is fully dependent upon your involvement as we share our knowledge, experience, successes and failures to help each of us become better skilled aviators and officers; the committee primarily functions through the network and mentoring that takes place through its members. Please see below for more detailed information about the Air Force Pilot Development Committee and how you can get involved.

We Need a Secretary.........Please Consider Volunteering

When I speak to most new WOL members or those considering joining I get this reply: "Just let me know what you need and I am ready to help out! WELL .... WE NEED A SECRETARY. We are ready to ramp things up but we need a few dedicated grads. Even if you have never been a secretary, please consider voulnteering your time. It is not rocket science or even SOS. Most of us are new at our positions though we are certainly capable folk(debatable). We can make this happen but having so few grads do so much of the work keeps us in neutral. Here are the basic responsibilities:

The Secretary shall:
